Yes! Island View is located in KaMilo, a gated community within the Mauna Lani Resort.
Guests enjoy a peaceful residential setting along with access to the KaMilo Recreation Complex, Mauna Lani Beach Club, and the many amenities of the resort.I will be traveling with children, any advice ?
Family vacations in Hawaii are all about making memories together, and Island View is a wonderful home base for families of all ages.
Traveling with little ones? We provide a pack ’n’ play, baby monitor, high chair and bedrails to make your stay a little easier. If you’d like the twin beds configured separately or together, just let us know before your arrival.
And one important reminder: don’t forget the sunscreen! We just ask that sunscreen spray be applied away from the lanai and walkways to help protect the surfaces.
Some of our favorite family days at Island View VIlla include cruising the resort on bikes, splashing in the pools, relaxing at the beach and, of course, building some seriously impressive sandcastles.

Yes! The KaMilo Recreation Complex offers something for everyone, including a fitness center, quiet lap pool, spacious covered Gathering Hale, and a fun lagoon-style family “Ohana Pool.” Little ones even have their own Keiki wading pool.
There are also two heated spas—one conveniently located by the Ohana Pool and another just behind the fitness center.Do I need a rental car ?
The Big Island is BIG! There’s so much to see and explore beyond the resort, so we highly recommend having a rental car during your stay.

Hawai‘i beaches are public, and the beach at the nearby Fairmont Orchid is also easily accessible, with a shorter walk from the home.
While guests are welcome to enjoy the beach, the Fairmont’s beach chairs and pools are reserved exclusively for registered hotel guests.Can I make Tee times at the Mauna Lani Golf Course?
Absolutely! Guests are welcome to book tee times at Mauna Lani Golf, home to both the North and South championship courses.

The large unbelievably comfortable couch in the great room are perfect for relaxing after a long day of fun in the sun! The great room is perfect for relaxing, playing games, listening to music on the sound-bar, watch the game, or relax with a movie UltraHD 4K TV.
The main floor lanai, equipped with BBQ, outdoor living room, and dining area is a perfect place to enjoy throughout the day. Each lanai is tastefully furnished for your comfort and enjoyment. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, a new job, retirement, or simply celebrating the sunshine, our home is sure to create a great experience.

We love building really big sand castles! Kohala sand is exceptional for this and we have the tools for kids and adults alike. For your day at the beach, you’ll find:

• Supplies and instructions how to build an amazing large sand castle with your kids.
• Large collection of snorkel gear in multiple sizes so you can share the wonders of the ocean
• Boogie boards to enjoy playing in the waves
• Life jackets swim belts for the younger ones
• Large wheeled cooler and Tupperware containers for your beach picnic
Enjoy our collection of bikes (adult, youth, and kids with helmets and locks) allowing you to explore the Mauna Lani resort. They are great for going to the Private Beach Club, exploring the Black Sand Beach, historical grounds, Fairmont resort hotel or the many other wonderful places that Mauna Lani has to offer. Ask us about deals on a GEM Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (Golf cart) rental for even more family fun.
For those with children
Having traveled with our kids when they were young we know how difficult it is to lug all the baby equipment. Our goal is to make your life easier so we have equipped our vacation home with:

We use enhanced cleaning protocols with electrostatic cleaners to disinfect and sanitize the entire home.
Things to do
Staying in KaMilo gives you full access to its Recreation Center with fitness equipment and multiple hot tubs and lap pool, freeform pool, and kiddie pool.
You can also take advantage of the clean private beach club staffed with lifeguards and the Napua Restaurant just two miles away. Excellent snorkeling in calm waters!
A short drive away is the six of the most spectacular beaches in Hawaii including Beach 69, Hapuna beach and the breathtaking Mauna Kea beach.
The Kohala Coast is a golfer's paradise with seven challenging courses all within seven miles of our villa.
Minutes down the street is the Shops at Mauna Lani where you can find a supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants, clothing and accessory stores, art, and free weekly entertainment in the evenings.

Yes! Island View is located in KaMilo, a gated community within the Mauna Lani Resort.
Guests enjoy a peaceful residential setting along with access to the KaMilo Recreation Complex, Mauna Lani Beach Club, and the many amenities of the resort.I will be traveling with children, any advice ?
Family vacations in Hawaii are all about making memories together, and Island View is a wonderful home base for families of all ages.
Traveling with little ones? We provide a pack ’n’ play, baby monitor, high chair and bedrails to make your stay a little easier. If you’d like the twin beds configured separately or together, just let us know before your arrival.
And one important reminder: don’t forget the sunscreen! We just ask that sunscreen spray be applied away from the lanai and walkways to help protect the surfaces.
Some of our favorite family days at Island View VIlla include cruising the resort on bikes, splashing in the pools, relaxing at the beach and, of course, building some seriously impressive sandcastles.
After a day of adventures, settle in for a relaxing movie night with some popcorn. Sometimes the best vacation memories are made right at home.Does Island View Villa have access to the Hilton Water Park?
Yes, Island View Villa has a pass for our guests to use the Daily passes to the Hilton Waikoloa pool complex in 2026. Details for 2027 are not available at this time as the hotel does not announce the program until the end of November. Is there Beach Gear at the home?
The garage at Island View is thoughtfully stocked with everything you need for fun-filled beach days, so there’s no need to pack the extra weight!
You’ll find premium Tommy Bahama beach chairs, a beach umbrella, sand toys, a cooler, and snorkel sets in a variety of sizes. We also provide plush beach towels for your convenience.Is there a gym on site?
Yes! The KaMilo Recreation Complex offers something for everyone, including a fitness center, quiet lap pool, spacious covered Gathering Hale, and a fun lagoon-style family “Ohana Pool.” Little ones even have their own Keiki wading pool.
There are also two heated spas—one conveniently located by the Ohana Pool and another just behind the fitness center.Do I need a rental car ?
The Big Island is BIG! There’s so much to see and explore beyond the resort, so we highly recommend having a rental car during your stay.
It gives you the freedom to discover beaches, waterfalls, volcanoes, scenic drives and all the unique experiences the island has to offer.How many vehicles can I park at Island View?
Island View can accommodate 3 vehicles in the garage and driveway.
Many guests choose to rent both a car and a golf cart during their stay. Golf carts can be conveniently parked and charged in the garage.Can I walk to the Beach?
The Mauna Lani Beach Club is just a 3-minute drive from Island View Villa, offering a beautiful spot for swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and relaxing by the ocean.
Hawai‘i beaches are public, and the beach at the nearby Fairmont Orchid is also easily accessible, with a shorter walk from the home.
While guests are welcome to enjoy the beach, the Fairmont’s beach chairs and pools are reserved exclusively for registered hotel guests.Can I make Tee times at the Mauna Lani Golf Course?
Absolutely! Guests are welcome to book tee times at Mauna Lani Golf, home to both the North and South championship courses.
The South Course is especially popular for its dramatic ocean views and iconic 15th hole, while the North Course winds through lava rock and kiawe forests.
We recommend reserving your tee time in advance, especially during peak travel periods.How is the checkin process?
