The great room is perfect place to hang out together, playing games, listen to music on the sound-bar, or relax with a movie.

Can I make Tee times at the Mauna Lani Golf Course, and can I rent a golf cart?
Absolutely! Guests can book tee times at Mauna Lani Golf, featuring both the North and South championship courses. We recommend making reservations ahead of time, particularly during busy travel seasons.
Exploring Mauna Lani by electric cart is another guest favorite. While you’ll need a standard vehicle to venture beyond the resort, an electric cart is a fun and convenient way to get around Mauna Lani for shorter trips.
Once you reserve your stay at House of Joy, our team will be happy to provide our preferred vendor list and connect you with trusted local companies for electric cart rentals.How many vehicles can I park at House of Joy?
House of Joy has a spacious two-car garage, with additional parking available in the driveway.
You can comfortably park up to three vehicles total between the garage and driveway.

Yes! The pool area is a wonderful place to enjoy snacks, drinks, and casual meals. We simply ask for no glass to be taken poolside for everyone's safety. Do I need to Pack my Beach gear?
The garage at House of Joy is stocked with beach essentials, so you can leave the extra gear at home! You’ll find premium Tommy Bahama beach chairs, a beach umbrella, sand toys, a cooler, and snorkel sets in a variety of sizes.
Plush beach towels are also provided for your convenience.Is there grocery shopping or coffee shops nearby ?
The Shops at Mauna Lani are just a few minutes away by car or about a 20-minute walk, making it easy to grab groceries, coffee, a quick bite, or do a little shopping. Foodland Farms has everything you need for meals at home, while the shops also include a great coffee spot, Juice 101, and Knead & Bake for pizza.
You’ll also find Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar and its popular island-inspired clothing, along with Hawaiian favorite Jams World for colorful, tropical styles. HIC is a fun stop for the surfer in your group, and Snorkel Bob’s has you covered for beach and snorkeling gear. There’s plenty to browse, eat, and enjoy all in one convenient location!Can I walk to the Beach?
The Mauna Lani Beach Club is just a 3-minute drive from House of Joy and is a wonderful spot to spend the day enjoying the ocean. Guests can swim, snorkel, paddleboard, or simply relax along the beautiful shoreline.

Normally resort passes cost $100/adult and $60/child but when staying at this home use for up to 10 people is COMPLIMENTARY with no additional cost each and every day of your stay. This includes use of resort pools, the river pool, waterslides, hot tub, saltwater lagoon for snorkeling, lounge chairs, towels and parking validation for one vehicle.
It also includes a 10% discount on Spa Treatments, 10% discount on Lagoon toys and Cabana rentals.
Guests love this resort pass which gives them the best of both worlds with hotel privileges and a comfortable well equipped vacation home.

The airy open concept main floor includes kitchen, dining area, great room, and large lanai with outdoor kitchen. The dining room table will comfortably accommodate 8 people. The outdoor dining table can seat 6 with 4 around the expansive kitchen countertop. The large, comfy sleeper sectional and chair are perfect for lounging, watching a movie or the big game, or just relaxing after a long day of fun in the sun! The great room is perfect place to hang out together, playing games, listen to music on the sound-bar, or relax with a movie.
The main floor covered lanai, equipped with BBQ, outdoor living room, and dining area is a perfect place to enjoy throughout the day.
The downstairs lanai, the pool area, is where the fun begins and ends each day. Enjoy an early morning dip in the pool, or soothe your sore muscles after a day snorkelling, paddle boarding or hiking, or for celebrating that win at tennis or golf. Enjoy the sound of the chirping birds, the splish-splash of the grandchildren in the pool, or the laughter of friends relaxing on the lanai.
County Law requires alarms on all ground-level sliding doors that lead to pool area, in order to prevent doors from being left open indefinitely.

Mauna Lani Resort is located along the sunny Kohala Coast on the northwest side of Hawaiʻi Island, about 30 minutes north of Kona International Airport. The resort is conveniently situated near beautiful beaches, golf courses, restaurants, shopping, and many of the Big Island’s favorite activities.
Can I make Tee times at the Mauna Lani Golf Course, and can I rent a golf cart?
Absolutely! Guests can book tee times at Mauna Lani Golf, featuring both the North and South championship courses. We recommend making reservations ahead of time, particularly during busy travel seasons.
Exploring Mauna Lani by electric cart is another guest favorite. While you’ll need a standard vehicle to venture beyond the resort, an electric cart is a fun and convenient way to get around Mauna Lani for shorter trips.

House of Joy has a spacious two-car garage, with additional parking available in the driveway.
You can comfortably park up to three vehicles total between the garage and driveway.

Evening swims are a favorite at House of Joy, especially under the beautiful Hawaiian stars.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the home’s heated pool after dark; we simply ask that everyone be mindful of Kamilo’s community quiet hours and keep noise to a minimum so the peaceful surroundings can be enjoyed by all.Can we eat and drink by the pool?
Yes! The pool area is a wonderful place to enjoy snacks, drinks, and casual meals. We simply ask for no glass to be taken poolside for everyone's safety. Do I need to Pack my Beach gear?
The garage at House of Joy is stocked with beach essentials, so you can leave the extra gear at home! You’ll find premium Tommy Bahama beach chairs, a beach umbrella, sand toys, a cooler, and snorkel sets in a variety of sizes.
Plush beach towels are also provided for your convenience.Is there grocery shopping or coffee shops nearby ?
The Shops at Mauna Lani are just a few minutes away by car or about a 20-minute walk, making it easy to grab groceries, coffee, a quick bite, or do a little shopping. Foodland Farms has everything you need for meals at home, while the shops also include a great coffee spot, Juice 101, and Knead & Bake for pizza.
You’ll also find Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar and its popular island-inspired clothing, along with Hawaiian favorite Jams World for colorful, tropical styles. HIC is a fun stop for the surfer in your group, and Snorkel Bob’s has you covered for beach and snorkeling gear. There’s plenty to browse, eat, and enjoy all in one convenient location!Can I walk to the Beach?
The Mauna Lani Beach Club is just a 3-minute drive from House of Joy and is a wonderful spot to spend the day enjoying the ocean. Guests can swim, snorkel, paddleboard, or simply relax along the beautiful shoreline.
The beach near the Fairmont Orchid is even closer and an easy walk fromHouse of Joy.
All of Hawai‘i beaches are public, so guests are welcome to enjoy all Beaches beach.
