Welcome to “Hale O’Honu,” House of the Sea Turtle, part of our Hawaiian Luxury Collection. Hale O'Honu is a beautiful 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom home that offers everything that you would ever desire on your Big Island vacation in Mauna Lani.
Hale O’Honu is a professionally decorated single story, free-standing home (no stairs and not a shared-wall townhouse) that has an atmosphere of sophistication yet is comfortable and inviting. Perfect for up to 7 guests, it is a true island home away from home…

The house has a modern Polynesian design and a spacious, 1700 sq. ft, open floor plan with beautiful travertine floors throughout and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, outfitted with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances.
Two private backyard lanais (which open from large sliding glass doors off the living room and primary bedroom) are furnished with stylish lounge chairs and a BBQ, and are surrounded by lush, tropical landscaping, giving a sense of tranquility and calm.
There are two bright and airy primary bedroom suites, both with spa-like, ensuite bathrooms and walk-in closets.
One primary offers a plush, California King bed while the other offers two TwinXL beds that can be joined to make a King if desired.
The third bedroom has a Queen and also has an ensuite bath.
All of the beds are outfitted with luxurious 600 thread count sheets and beautiful cotton/linen quilts, and all of the baths are stocked with white, fluffy, 100% cotton towels.
There is an optional foldaway for 7th guest (These are best suited for a child)
The bedrooms are also all equipped with flat screen TVs with the living room boasting a state-of-the art, 75 inch flat screen, Smart TV - just lower the automatic, dropdown blinds and you have a screening room that makes for the perfect movie night.

Guests of Hale O’Honu get full use of KaMilo’s spectacular, 2 acre Recreation Center, which is about a 90 second walk from the home.
The Rec Center offers a gorgeous, mosaic tile lap pool, a large lagoon style family pool, a children's wading pool, two Jacuzzi spas, a workout building with exercise machines, free-weights and showers (with separate men’s and women’s locker rooms).
There is also a large, covered pavilion adjacent to the lagoon pool with a kitchen, BBQ, sink and fridge – a perfect place to have a meal, host a party or enjoy a relaxing cocktail (or two).
Access to a Private Beach Paradise
The private Mauna Lani Beach Club (a gate card that we provide our guests allows entrance) is only a couple minutes drive away and is another perk of renting Hale O’Honu.
It is a picturesque white sand beach - a true oasis - perfect for snorkeling (one of the best snorkel spots on the whole island), swimming, kayaking and stand up paddling (there is a fully stocked rental kiosk at the beach). Or, if you just want to relax, the Beach Club offers cabanas and lounge chairs (free of charge), so just grab your favorite book and you’re set.
There is also an excellent restaurant and bar at the Beach Club where you can eat and take in the view of nearby Maui or order your food to go and picnic on the beach. And sunsets here are just breathtaking!
Hale O'Honu is within the Mauna Lani resort, close to both Auberge and the Fairmont Orchid Hotels.

Can I walk to the Beach?
The Mauna Lani Beach Club is a 3 minute drive from Hale O’Honu. All beaches in Hawaii are public, and it's a shorter walk to the Beach at the nearby Fairmont Orchid. While you can use the beach at the Fairmont, we have to share that chairs and pools are for hotel guests only. Is there grocery shopping or coffee shops nearby?
Just minutes away, and even within walking distance, The Shops at Mauna Lani offer a wonderful variety of shopping and dining options. Pick up groceries at Foodland Farms, grab a fresh smoothie at Juice 101, enjoy pizza at Knead & Bake, or stop by Tommy Bahama for dining and shopping. You'll also find unique island-style clothing at the colorful Jam's World boutique.
For even more shopping, restaurants, and entertainment, Kings’ Shops and Queens’ Marketplace at Waikoloa Beach Resort are less than a 10-minute drive away!Is this a good place to ride bikes?
Hale O’Honu is located in the gated KaMilo community, a wonderful setting for families and exploring by bike. As with any community, we recommend riding safely and remaining alert for vehicles. Bike helmets are provided for your safety and convenience.

You will find the kitchen at Hale O’Honu to be very well equipped making it easy to prepare meals right in the comfort of the home. It's great to dine out, but quite convenient to have the option to dine in! Can I make Tee times at the Mauna Lani Golf Course, and can I rent a golf cart?
Absolutely! Guests are welcome to book tee times at Mauna Lani Golf, home to both the North and South championship courses.
We recommend reserving your tee time in advance, especially during peak travel periods.
Cruising the resort in an electric cart is a guest favorite. While a standard vehicle is required to travel outside Mauna Lani Resort, an electric cart is perfect for quick trips inside Mauna Lani.

For a little more exploring, Puʻukoholā Heiau National Historic Site and Lapakahi State Historical Park are both located north of the resort and make wonderful day trips!
