Family Tides is a wonderful large single level 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom home. With two ohana (family) suites this home is the perfect retreat for large groups staying in the beautiful new Ainamalu community.
NEW: This home includes FREE Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort passes in 2026.
Details for 2027 are not available at this time as the hotel does not announce the program until the end of November.
The Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort was voted #1 resort in Hawaii by USA Today.
Normally resort passes cost $100/adult and $60/child but when staying at this home use for up to 12 people is COMPLIMENTARY with no additional cost each and every day of your stay. This includes use of resort pools, the river pool, waterslides, hot tub, saltwater lagoon for snorkeling, lounge chairs, towels and parking validation for one vehicle.
It also includes a 10% discount on Spa Treatments, 10% discount on Lagoon toys and Cabana rentals.
Guests love this resort pass which gives them the best of both worlds with hotel privileges and a comfortable well equipped vacation home.
Guests at this home also will be allowed free parking for 2 vehicles at the Hilton

How far are the closest restaurants and shops?Family Tides is conveniently located just a few short miles away from the Kings and Queen shops. There you will find shops and restaurants that will appeal to the whole family!
Is this community bikeable?Yes, Very much so! The internal resort roads and pathways allow for easy cruising to nearby spots. Restaurants, grocery stores, the Kings' Shops, Queens' Shops, movie theaters, and even A-Bay, which is a nearby beach.
Does Family Tides have access to the Hilton Water Park?
Yes, Family Tides has a pass for our guests to use the Daily passes to the Hilton Waikoloa pool complex in 2026. Details for 2027 are not available at this time as the hotel does not announce the program until the end of November
Where is the Ainamalu Community located?Ainamalu is located within the Waikoloa Resort along the sunny Kohala Coast on the northwest side of Hawaiʻi Island, about 25 minutes north of Kona International Airport. The resort is conveniently situated near beautiful beaches, golf courses, restaurants, shopping, and many of the Big Island’s favorite activities.
Where is the closest beach?The closest beach to Sparkling Waters is ʻAnaehoʻomalu Bay (A-Bay) which is only about 2 miles from the home. Then Hapuna and Mauna Kea Beaches are just a short drive from the home and are the best two beaches on the island. There is much to do alomng the coast.

Does the home has in-home laundry?Yes Family Tides is equipped with a washer and dryer. And we provide laundry detergent as well so no need to pack or purchase that!
What airport do I fly into and do I need to rent a car?KOA, Kona International Airport is the closest to airport to Family Tides, and is about 20 minutes from the villa. The Big Island is a BIG place! We highly recommend a rental car so you can explore all that the Island has to offer
