Kolea Amenities

Kolea Beach Club Pavilion

The oceanside Beach Club in the Kolea community boasts an amazing view of A-Bay beach and the Waikoloa fish ponds. There is a large infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a sand-bottom keiki (children’s) lagoon with waterfall and a natural lava-rock surrounded jacuzzi. There is plenty of seating surrounding the pool area, and a shaded pavilion with comfortable lounge area. There is an open-air fitness hale overlooking the pool area. A one-minute walk along the path from the Beach Club leads directly down to the beach, for continued fun in the sun.

A-Bay (Anaeho’omalu Bay) Beach

The Kolea community is alongside the white sand A-Bay (Anaeho’omalu Bay) beach. You can get down to the beach via a short direct path down from the Beach Club that’s inside the community. This local favorite is surrounded by a surf-breaking reef for calm waters. There are several hiking trails along the shoreline and sea turtles often sunbathe on this beach at the end of the day. Behind the beach are two large ancient fishponds, petroglyphs and archaeological sites that are important to Hawaiian history and culture. The Lava Lava Beach Club is a beach-side restaurant that offers frequent live music and excellent food and drinks.

There are many beautiful beaches within and nearby the Waikoloa Resort for you to enjoy during your stay at Kolea.
