Hilo Lei Day Festival
May 1, 2022 @ 10am to 2pm – Kalakaua Park, Hilo
May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii! The celebration takes place annually on the 1st of May at Kalakaua Park in Hilo. The event is free and open to the public. Learn about Hawaiian history and the culture of the lei. The opening ceremonies feature oli and ho’okupu being made and throughout the day there is hula, lei making demonstrations and Classic Lei Day Mele.
Waikoloa Lei Day Festival
May 1, 2022 @ 2pm to 7pm – Queen’s Marketplace, Coronation Pavillion
This is the inaugural Waikoloa Lei Day Festival. There will be lei making workshops, keiki facepainting, live music and hula!
Big Island Chocolate Festival
May 13-14, 2022 – Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa
This is a reimagined version of the annual Big Island Chocolate Festival. This year it will be a seated 3-course meal and 4th course dessert. There will be unlimited wine and beer, live music and dancing.
Annual Farm Festival by Hāmākua Harvest
May 22, 2022 @ 9am-2pm – Hāmākua Harvest, Māmane St and Māmalahoa Hwy 19
