Vacations in Hawaii are all about enjoying the sunshine, spending time together, and making memories! Nohea Kai is stocked with everything you need to make the most of your island getaway.
Some of our favorite ways to enjoy the resort include cruising around on the home’s assortment of hybrid and e-bikes, exploring the island’s best beaches and snorkeling spots, playing a round of golf at Mauna Lani’s championship golf courses, or simply relaxing poolside.
Especially important, don’t forget the sunscreen! Please help us keep the home’s lanai and walkways clean by applying spray sunscreen away from these areas.
And when everyone is ready to slow down, settle in for a relaxing movie night with some popcorn on the home’s 65-inch TV, complete with a Sonos home theater system and complimentary Hulu + Disney+.Is there grocery shopping or coffee shops nearby?
The Shoppes at Mauna Lani, just a few minutes away (walkable as well!) has Foodland Farms for your grocery needs, a great coffee shop, Juice 101 and even Knead and Bake for Pizza.
Tommy Bahama's is there with both a restaurant and a clothing store, and there is a Hawaiian Favorite, "Jam's world" for colorful clothing.
For even more shopping and dining options, the Kings’ Shops and Queens’ Marketplace at Waikoloa Beach Resort are less than a 10-minute drive away.Is there a gym on site?
The Nohea Community features a beautiful pool and spa, along with a well-equipped fitness center, all available for guests of Nohea Kai to enjoy.

Can you rent a golf cart to get around?
Yes! Exploring the resort by electric cart is a favorite way for guests to get around. While a standard vehicle is needed for travel beyond the Mauna Lani Resort, an electric cart is ideal for short trips to the private Mauna Lani Beach Club,The Shops at Mauna Lani, and other nearby resort amenities.

While Nohea Kai is the only home we manage within the Nohea community, we offer many other 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom homes in nearby communities, including The Islands, The Villages, KaMilo, Kulalani, and The Fairways—all just a short drive away. Can I walk to the Beach?
The Mauna Lani Beach Club is about a 25 minute walk through the fish ponds or 8 minute bike ride from Nohea Kai Do I need a rental car?
The Big Island is a BIG place ! We highly recommend a rental car so you can explore the Island.
I will be traveling with children, any advice?
Though we love kids, Nohea Kai is best suited for adults and families with older children who are comfortable around water.
Due to the home’s beautiful open-water features, including the entry koi ponds and pool area, Nohea Kai may not be suitable for families traveling with toddlers or very young children who require constant supervision around water.Do I need to Pack my Beach gear?
The garage at Nohea Kai is stocked so you don’t have to travel with extra weight. You will find premium Tommy Bahama beach chairs, a beach umbrella, sand toys, a cooler, and snorkel sets in various sizes. We also supply plush beach towels at Nohea Kai
